What we collect and why

When you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the type of request and your message. We use them only to answer you, for example to send the catalogue or the information you asked for, and to follow up on that conversation.

We process them because you asked us to answer, and in our legitimate interest in replying to the people who contact us. We do not use them for newsletters or advertising, and we never sell them.

Who receives them

Your message is saved in this website’s database, on a server in Germany, and sent by email to the KIND team and to the web studio that maintains the site, which checks that the form works. The emails are delivered through Amazon Web Services in Ireland to mailboxes hosted mostly by Google, which may keep them outside the European Union.

KIND is based in Indonesia, so your request is read and answered from there.

Visits, logs and cookies

The public pages of this website set no cookies.

We count visits with Umami, which our web studio runs for us on a server in the European Union. It uses no cookies and does not store your IP address. For each page it records the page address, the referring site, the page title, your browser, operating system and device, the screen size, the language and an approximate location (down to the city), under a pseudonymous visit code. We use it in our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

Like most websites, our servers also keep technical logs of requests, such as IP addresses and browsers, for security and to fix problems.

How long we keep them

Your messages are kept in the website’s database, in our mailboxes and in the website’s backups for as long as we need them to handle your request and the conversation that follows. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to see the data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it, by writing to hello@kindforliving.com. If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this notice changes, we will update the date at the top of the page.
